Resolve expired or invalid Authura sign-in links by requesting a new Magic Link and opening it within 5 minutes

Quick Fix

Request a new Magic Link and open the newest email within 5 minutes. Do not use older sign-in links, as requesting a new link makes previous links invalid.

Error Message

You may see the following message:

“The login link has expired. Please try again with a new link.”

You may also click a sign-in link that opens Authura but does not log you in.

Check This First

  • Confirm you are opening the newest Magic Link email. Requesting a new link cancels older links

  • Check when the email arrived. Magic Links are valid for 5 minutes

  • Confirm the link was sent to the correct email address shown on the Check your email screen

Why This Happens

Authura uses email-based magic links for sign-in. Each Magic Link is:

  • Valid for 5 minutes after it is sent

  • Single-use

  • Invalidated when a newer Magic Link is requested

If the link is opened after 5 minutes, has already been used, or has been replaced by a newer link, it will no longer sign you in.

Important: Every time you request a new Magic Link, any previous sign-in links stop working immediately.

How to Fix

  1. Go to the Authura login page.

  2. Confirm the email address is correct.

    • If you need to use a different account, select Switch and enter the correct email address.

  3. Click Send magic link button.

  4. On the Check your email screen, wait for the confirmation message that your link has been sent.

  5. If needed, use the pencil icon to correct the email address.

  6. If the countdown has finished, select Resend Link to generate a new sign-in link.

  7. Open your inbox and find the newest Your Authura Magic Link email.

  8. Ignore any older Authura sign-in emails.

  9. Click the newest link within 5 minutes of receiving it.

If the link still does not work, request another Magic Link and open it immediately, making sure no additional links were requested afterward.

If a newly generated Magic Link still does not sign you in:

  • Check your inbox and spam folder for the most recent Authura email

  • Request one more fresh link and open it as soon as it arrives

  • Visit the Help Center or contact support with:

    • The email address you are using

    • The approximate time you requested the Magic Link

    • The error message you received
