What You’ll Do

Create a Question Group inside an existing Quiz, give the group a name, and add related new or existing questions to it.

Before You Start

  • Open the Quiz you want to edit

  • If you haven’t created the Quiz yet, see how to create a Quiz first

  • If you need help opening or changing an existing Quiz, see how to edit a Quiz

  • Decide which related questions you want to organize together

Steps

  1. In the open Quiz, select Create New Question.

  2. Open the question type dropdown and select Question Group.

  1. Select the main text field beneath Question Group and enter a name or title for the group. Use a name that helps you identify the topic or purpose shared by the questions.

  1. To create a new question inside the group, click Create new question.

  2. Choose the related-question type you want to add, then complete the corresponding question form. The current workflow supports Multiple Choice, Checkbox, and True/False related questions.

  3. Repeat Create new question for any additional new questions that belong in the group.

  4. To use a question that already exists in the Quiz, select Add existing questions, then choose the question you want to add.

Important: The plus sign beside the Question Group options menu (top left) and the Quiz-level Add question to quiz button (bottom) create standalone questions at the Quiz level. They don’t add questions inside the Question Group.

  1. Review the Question Group and confirm that the intended questions appear inside it.

  2. When needed, open the 6-dot options menu in the top-left area of the Question Group.
From this menu, you can duplicate the whole group, change its difficulty, ungroup its questions, or delete the group.

Ungrouping keeps the questions in the Quiz as individual standalone questions.

  1. Use the Question Group version history control to review or restore an older version of the group.

Individual questions inside the group also have their own version history controls in the top-right area.

What You Should See

  • A Question Group with the name you entered

  • Related questions displayed inside the Question Group

  • Newly created related questions displayed within the group after you complete their forms

  • Existing Quiz questions displayed inside the group after you add them

  • A 6-dot options menu for group-level actions

  • Version history controls for the group and individual questions

Common Issues

The plus sign created a separate question instead of adding one to the group
The plus sign creates a new question at the Quiz level. Use Add related question to create a question inside the group.

Create new question added a standalone Quiz question
The Create new question control beneath the Question Group creates a Quiz-level question. Use Add related question or Add existing questions to place a question inside the group.

I already created the question I want to group
Use Add existing questions and select the previously created Quiz question instead of recreating it.
