What You’ll Do

Learn how to navigate the Authura educator dashboard and locate the main areas used to manage Courses, Playbooks, analytics, account settings, and support tools.

By the end, you'll know where each section is located and what it is used for.

Before You Start

Before you begin:

  • Log in to your Authura educator account

  • Open the main educator dashboard

  • Confirm you can see the left-side navigation menu

  • Make sure the dashboard modules have loaded successfully

Steps

  1. Open Dashboard from the left navigation sidebar.


    The Dashboard is your main starting point and provides quick access to commonly used areas of the platform.

  2. Review the dashboard overview and quick-access buttons.


    The Dashboard includes shortcuts to:

    • Courses

    • Playbooks

    • Profile Settings


    These shortcuts help you quickly access commonly used areas of Authura.

  3. Select Analytics from the navigation menu.


    The Analytics section provides visibility into:

    • Course metrics

    • Student metrics

    • Completion rates

    • Engagement data


    Use this area to review learner activity and progress across your content.

  4. Select Courses from the navigation menu.


    The Courses section is where educators create and manage Course experiences. Use this area whenever you need to access or manage course-related content.

  5. Select Playbooks from the navigation menu.


    The Playbooks section is where educators create and manage Playbooks. Courses and Playbooks are separate content types and are managed in different areas of the platform.

  6. Open Settings from the navigation menu.


    Within Settings, you can access:

    • Profile

    • Contract Manager


    Use this area to manage account-related settings and configuration options.

  7. Open the user profile menu in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard.


    From this menu, you can access:

    • Profile

    • Change Language

    • Help Center

    • Contact Support

    • Logout

  8. Click the Authura help icon in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard.


    This opens the support and help widget, where you can access help resources and support information.

  9. Explore the built-in onboarding tutorial.


    The onboarding tutorial helps new educators become familiar with the platform layout and navigation tools.

    It highlights Dashboard, Analytics, Courses, Playbooks, Settings, the User Menu, Profile Editing, Logout, and the option to restart the tutorial.

What You Should See

You should be able to:

  • Move between Dashboard, Analytics, Courses, Playbooks, and Settings

  • Locate profile and account management options

  • Access course and student insights through Analytics

  • Open support resources from the help widget

  • Understand where to manage Courses versus Playbooks

  • Navigate the educator dashboard confidently

Common Issues

  • Some dashboard sections may not appear if your educator profile setup is incomplete.

  • Certain modules may not be available if you do not yet have permission to access those features.

  • If the onboarding tutorial was previously dismissed, you may need to reopen it using the tutorial or help controls.

  • Analytics data may appear limited if no Courses or Playbooks have been created yet.

  • The support widget opens from the Authura icon in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard, not from the main navigation sidebar.
