How to Navigate Your Playbook

Before You Start

• Ensure you have access to a Playbook you purchased or received through a Course

Steps

1. Open your Playbook. Go to Playbooks and select the Playbook you want to continue. The first time it opens, a guided tour may introduce the interface. You can pause and resume the tour or restart it later. In map view, the top bar shows the Playbook name, total stars earned, completed Quests, a Start or Resume button, the AI assistant icon, and the paint icon for changing the color theme.

2. Use the Quest Path sidebar. On the left, All Quests shows the complete Playbook structure in order. Each Quest includes a progress count and status icon. Select any Quest to jump to it on the map. Recent Quests lists Quests you visited recently, while Bookmarked Quests keeps saved Quests together.

3. Move around the Playbook map. Drag with your cursor to move across the map and scroll to zoom in or out. The map acts as a visual roadmap and updates as you make progress. Hover over a Quest to see its name, Start button, Rewards shown as stars earned out of the total—for example, 0/1—and its completion percentage and status: Not Started, In Progress, or Complete. The preview also shows Corrects, Incorrect, Quiz Accuracy, Time Taken, Attempts, Active Focus, Reading Speed, and AI Queries.

4. Enter a Quest. Select Start for a new Quest or Resume to continue where you stopped. Inside the Quest, the top bar keeps the Playbook name, stars, completed Quest count, AI assistant, and theme controls. A Back to map button appears at the far left, and the Start/Resume button is removed because you are already inside the Quest.

5. Work through the Quest content. Open an image in the fullscreen viewer to zoom, pan, or use the slideshow controls. The Authura AI assistant panel is also available for help with the content. Select Hide panel when you do not need it.

6. Complete the activity or quiz. In a standard Quest, finish the reading content and select Continue in the bottom-right corner. The quiz starts automatically; there is no separate Start Quiz button. For a Game Quest, select Start Activity instead. When an answer is incorrect, Authura shows a brief explanation before the next question.

7. Review your results and continue. The Quiz complete screen shows your score as a percentage and states, “You got X out of Y correct.” Its Performance Summary includes Correct, Incorrect, Quiz Accuracy, Time Taken, Attempts, Active Focus, Reading Speed, and AI Queries. Select Claim rewards. On the Quest Complete page, choose to continue to the next Quest, return to the map, or repeat the Quest.

What You Should See

• The Quest Path sidebar and Playbook map when the Playbook opens

• Progress counts and status icons beside Quests in the sidebar

• A preview with progress, rewards, and performance statistics when you hover over a Quest

• The Quiz complete screen after the final question

• The Quest Complete page after you claim rewards

Common Issues

I don’t see Bookmarked Quests in the sidebar
This section appears only after you bookmark your first Quest.

The map looks empty or a Quest does not load
Refresh the page, then reopen the Playbook or select the Quest again.

I can’t find a Start Quiz button
Standard Quest quizzes begin when you select Continue after the reading content. Game Quests use Start Activity.

I don’t see Start or Resume inside the Quest
That button is available on the map. Inside a Quest, use Back to map to return to it.
