How to Create a Playbook

Create a new Playbook from a template, customize its details, and submit it for review and publication readiness

What You’ll Do

Create a new Playbook using an available template, customize its content and settings in the Playbook Editor, save your changes, and submit the Playbook for review.

Once approved and published, learners will be able to access the Playbook.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Access to Modules → Playbooks

  • Permission to create or edit Playbooks

  • A completed NILE agreement (required before submitting a Playbook for review)

  • An available Playbook template to use as a starting point

Steps

  1. Open Modules from the main navigation menu.

  2. Select Playbooks.

  3. Select Create Playbook.

  4. Choose Use existing template.

  5. Search for a Playbook template and select the one you want to use.

  6. After selecting a template, the Playbook Editor opens.

  7. Update the Info section as needed. You can edit:

    • Title

    • Subtitle

    • Thumbnail

    • Description

    The description includes:

    • Overview

    • About the Playbook

  8. Open the Scope section and update:

    • Subject

    • Education level

    • Skill tags

  9. Select Save and Continue to save your changes.

  10. When your Playbook is ready, select Submit for Review.

  11. Confirm the submission when prompted.

  12. After submission, the Playbook enters the review process. You will receive an automated email when the review has been completed.

Important: The submission option is only available after your NILE agreement has been completed.

What You Should See

After submitting your Playbook:

  • Your changes are saved successfully

  • The Playbook enters the review workflow

  • A confirmation indicates the submission was received

  • You receive an automated email when the review process is complete

Important: Playbooks must be reviewed, approved, and published before learners can access their content.

Common Issues

My changes are missing

Make sure you selected Save and Continue before leaving the Playbook Editor or submitting for review.

I can't submit my Playbook for review

Verify that:

  • Your NILE agreement has been completed

  • Required Playbook information has been filled out

  • Your latest changes have been saved
