How to Navigate Your Playbook

What You’ll Do

Learn how to navigate your Playbook using the Quest Path sidebar and Playbook map, start or resume quests, complete quizzes, and track your progress throughout your learning journey.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• Access to a Playbook through a Course or an individual purchase

• Successfully opened the Authura platform

• An active internet connection

Steps

1. Open Your Playbook

Open the Playbooks section and select the Playbook you want to work through.

When the Playbook opens, you'll see the Playbook map and the Quest Path sidebar.

The Playbook top bar displays:

• Playbook name

• Total stars earned

• Number of completed quests

• Start or Continue button

• Paint icon for changing the colour theme

2. Use the Quest Path Sidebar

The Quest Path sidebar appears on the left side of the Playbook and helps you quickly move between quests.

The sidebar includes three sections:

• All Quests — shows the full Playbook structure and every quest in order

• Bookmarked Quests — shows quests you've saved for quick access

• Recent Quests — shows quests you've visited recently

Select any quest from the sidebar to jump directly to that quest on the Playbook map.

You can also use the Unpin navigation panel option to collapse or expand the sidebar as needed.

3. Navigate the Playbook Map

The Playbook map is the main navigation view and acts as a visual roadmap of your learning journey.

To move around the map:

• Click and drag to move across the Playbook

• Scroll to zoom in or out

As you complete quests, the map updates to reflect your progress.

Hover over any quest to view additional details, including:

• Quest type

• Completion percentage

• Stars earned

• Performance statistics

Tip: If you're returning to a Playbook after a break, use the Recent Quests section in the Quest Path sidebar to quickly jump back to where you left off.

4. Start or Resume a Quest

When you find the quest you want to work on, select Start or Resume.

This opens the quest experience.

Inside a quest, the top bar shows:

• Back to map button

• Playbook name

• Stars completed

• Quest progress bar

• Total completed quests in the Playbook

5. Work Through the Quest

Read or interact with the quest content as you progress.

An Authura AI assistant panel is available inside the quest if you need help understanding the material.

If you don't need it, select Hide panel to collapse it.

6. Complete the Quiz or Activity

After working through the content:

• Select Start Quiz for standard quests

• Select Start Activity for Game Quests

Answer each question and continue through the assessment.

If you answer incorrectly, a brief explanation appears before the next question is shown.

7. Review Your Results

When you finish the quiz, you'll see a performance statistics screen showing metrics such as:

• Accuracy

• Time taken

• Correct answers

• Incorrect answers

• Additional performance data

After reviewing your results, you'll reach the Quest Complete page.

From here, you can:

• Continue to the next quest

• Return to the Playbook map

• Repeat the quest

What You Should See

When your Playbook loads, you should see:

• The Quest Path sidebar

• The Playbook map

• Progress information in the top bar

After completing a quest, you should see a Quest Complete page displaying your results and options to continue, return to the map, or repeat the quest.

Common Issues

• The Quest Path sidebar is missing
  The navigation panel may be unpinned. Click the pin option in the sidebar to restore it.

• A quest doesn't open or the map appears empty
  Refresh the page and try again.

• The Playbook isn't loading correctly
